For these two groups of children we try to come up with experiential games and activities that try to counteract the horror and chaos of war or natural disasters, positive and joyful activities, which provide an anchor of positive remembrance.
Coherent and well-coordinated mechanisms and information- sharing platform is in place to achieve the objective of the CFS. There is a coordination group that involves other partners working under the child protection department and inside the CFS. They include; DRC, HI, ISRAID, LWF, Government, UNHCR AND UNICEF. Community involvement is also key, as parents and the community at large is involved in the management of the CFS and creating awareness on child protection issues.
Thanks to UNHCR and UNICEF for their great effort in support of Child friendly spaces in terms of funding and provision of play and learning equipment. Waldorf is looking forward to continue working in collaboration with UNHCR and UNICEF to establish more child friendly centers in the host community to reach more children as possible.
